Elderly Services

Volunteers of America Southeast measures its success in positive changes in the lives of individuals and communities we serve. Presently, Volunteers of America Southeast manages 13 elderly complexes consisting of 450+ units in Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi. Volunteers of America makes every effort to create a community of care that enables individuals to live as independently as possible for as long as possible. We provide for individuals, who are 62 years of age and older with a low income, an opportunity to live in a safe, comfortable, and affordable setting.

Volunteers of America offers apartments consisting of walk-up and high-rise complexes. All apartments consist of a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bath. All are furnished with refrigerators, stoves, heating/cooling units and mini blinds. Complexes provide furnished community/meeting rooms and laundry facilities that are available to all residents.

Complexes are staffed by Property Managers who perform leasing activities, assist tenants with securing community resources, conduct tenant meetings, produce monthly newsletters, and assist with tenant social activities. Property Managers attempt to meet the special needs of all tenants.
