Volunteers of America Southeast, Inc., is a chartered member of the national Volunteers of America. Volunteers of America of South Alabama began in November 1980, with three group homes, and by June, 1998, was ranked in the top five of Volunteers of America's chartered corporations.
Volunteers of America of Georgia began providing services in January, 1995. Volunteers of America of Georgia provides Supported Independent Living Services for individuals with chronic mental illness. The Supported Independent Living Program provides 24-hour supervision, support, training and transportation.
