Programs and Services for:

Volunteers of America Southeast demonstrates that “there are no limits to caring” through our programs for community engagement. We engage people in our mission through Volunteer Services and Special Events. Annually, we host events to support needs of the people we serve and the people in our communities.

On Mother’s Day, Volunteers of America Southeast hosts I Remember Mama, a lovely luncheon for over 200 mothers who would otherwise be alone on this special day. All of our “moms” are crowned “Queen for a day” and celebrated with entertainment, door prizes, and fine dining. A host of volunteers and staff members help make this event truly special.

Season of Caring is designed to meet the many needs of the less fortunate during the holidays. Opportunities are provided for people to give out of their abundance. Holiday food boxes, as well as a special meal, are given to families and individuals through the generosity of people who support our Food for the Holidays program…people like you! Through our annual endeavor, 10 Caring Gifts, we are helping people in our community and giving those in need a Christmas with hope. Christmas gifts are collected for over 1,700 children who, through no fault of their own, are not able to be with their parents.

Each year, during the week of September 11, Volunteers of America Southeast egages community organizations in a week honoring the American spirit of freedom ... the Week of Caring. Working with schools, churches, and businesses, we seek to honor those who have made our freedom possible and encourage those values that make our country great.

Once again this Thanksgiving, Volunteers of America Southeast will be reaching out to those most in need and we invite you to partner with us in this effort.  During the last six years we have provided holiday food boxes to individuals and families who would not have a special holiday meal if it were not for the generosity of those who support our Food for the Holidays program.  What a journey of blessings it has been!
