Volunteers of America Southeast demonstrates that “there are no limits to caring” through our programs for People with Disabilities. Our residential services for individuals with physical, mental, and intellectual disabilities enable people to live more independently in the community. Men and women can receive services in their own homes or apartments, or in one of the many community homes or apartments managed by Volunteers of America Southeast. These services include assistance with daily living skills, food preparation, shopping, budgeting, and accessing health care and other community resources.
Our day habilitation services for individuals with intellectual disabilities offer them training to increase their independent living skills, self-care, communication, behavior, interpersonal skills, and vocational skills. These services are provided through our professional staff at our campuses throughout
Our supported employment program assists individuals with disabilities through every stage of the employment process. Men and women are assessed to determine what type jobs interest them, assisted in the application and interviewing process, and provided the support of an on-site job coach. Long-term follow up is provided on an indefinite basis.
